I did it!

On Tuesday, July 23, 2013, I came home to Utah with a positive ending of my first year at BYU-I. A miracle happened when I was at school. Couple weeks ago, my grade in math turned into a C- instead of a D+. I've had that grade for a while because of my struggle on the exams and the prep quizzes. I was able to figure out how to pass them so that I may keep up with my grade and pass the class. I have no desire to take it again in the fall semester. This semester was a struggle for me because it was all new  to me. But, with a positive attitude and hard work, I survived the storm.

Between my homework and test-taking, I dyed my hair brown to see what I would look like as a brunette. Since I was little, I always wanted to be a brunette. I finally got a wish come true. Although, I do miss being blond because it was a hair color I grew up with. Anyway, it still looks good and I want to give my thanks to my specialist and roommate, Diantha, for doing it.

Now that I'm here in Utah with my mom and my sisters, I can rest and enjoy the rest of the summer. According to Dorothy, "There's no place like home." I completely agree!

This semester has taught me a very important lesson. I've learned that I can do hard things through faith in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost. Sometimes I will have to do things on my own and stand alone, but still have the guidance and companionship of the Holy Ghost, even though he can't be seen. Because of that, I passed all of my classes and I am ready to take on the next level, which will be even harder than this level. I can do this! I've done it before and I can do it again!
