Earlier this evening, I received a text from a sister that my mom was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. She has been sick for almost three weeks now with what she said was a bad cold/flu. Had she gone another day or two, she would of been put into the hospital and she would've been diagnosed with pneumonia, which could result in something that is awful and unexpected. It scared me because we almost lost our mom. I don't know what things would be like without her.
I got to talk to her minutes ago on the phone. She didn't have much of a voice. I started to cry when she was wishing me Happy Valentine's Day, telling me how much she loves me, how proud she is of me for the things I've accomplished and I've been a great blessing in her life.
What also made me cry was her experience before she saw the Doctor. She was woken up at 3ish in the morning after a dream, having a hard time to breathe, feeling a little more sick than before. She shared with me that she saw my late maternal grandmother and heard her say, "Michelle, you need to go see a doctor." She followed her advice and our family doctor came to our home to see her. He even got after her for waiting so long because she is really sick. My mom was protected by an angel. An angel sent by God.
I'm thankful and feeling so blessed to be protected by the angels of God. God does care and He watches over every single one of us. I have a strong testimony that He exists and He knows everyone. He knows us, not only by our names, but our hearts and who we are. We are all His children.
For those who are struggling and feeling all alone, you are not alone. God is always there for you. He always listens and answers our prayers. He may not answer in the way we expect, but He does in His own time and way. Just be patient, open your heart, and listen for His voice.
